Multiple settings for one copy of BC?

I want to use a single copy of BC under more than one user id on a single pc running win xp. At the moment, I have 2 uids: one with admin authority and the other without.
1. How can I save settings independently for each user?
2. Does it matter whether start menu shortcuts are in the 'all users' menu rather than each user's menu?

BC automatically stores settings per user, so you don't need to change anything. The shortcut location doesn't matter, so you can have it in the "All Users" area.

If you're registered, store your key in a file named bc2.key in the installation directory so it will read it from there. If you don't do that the registration is per user too.
