Environment variables when entering paths

It would be useful if the various file/folder entry fields supported environment variables ala the Windows file dialog (e.g., %TEMP%, etc. are interpreted correctly and also support shell auto-complete during entry). This isn't supported on the command-line, the Open dialog, the folder fields on the main screen, the wizard, and possibly others.
