  • Excluding Files Jumps Back to Root Directory

    Hello,

    I'm using 2.3.1 (build 231).

After excluding one or more files from a directory comparison, BC always jumps back to the upmost root directory in which the files were located.

This means that after each exclude I have to scroll down back to my previous screen location.

Is anybody else experiencing this, or might there even be an option to control this behaviour?

    Thanks for your consideration,

    Christian

I experienced the behavior (and find it a bit irritating especially on a large folder comparison) ... but haven't found a satisfactory way to control the behavior.

But, I once started just doing a control-left mouse click to select several files/folders and then just excluding the marked items. But, if you mis-click you're back where you started

There isn't a way to change this behavior. This behavior is on our list to be changed in a future release of Beyond Compare. Sorry for the inconvenience.
