Syntax Error

We have multiple files that we're trying to sync over from our old server to our new server and were getting a Syntax Error with a ? next to the file names. Is there any way to force the copy to sync accross to the new server

Your help is greatly appreciated!!

- Which Windows version?
- Which kind of file-system?
- Which version of Beyond Compare?
- What action did you exactly make to cause this error (step-by step)?
- Are you using the GUI mode or a script?
- Where exactly ist the Error displayed?
- A screenshot posted in this forum via http://www.tinypic.com might help, too.

Are there ? characters showing in the filenames?

If so, it might be a problem with character encoding. The current version of BC only supports ANSI filenames, so you'll need to change regional settings in Windows to handle international characters.
