  • Error when copy from UNIX to PC

I attempted to copy from UNIX to PC with BC. I received the following message.

Error copying U:\infoAdvantage\Logs\Zipped Logs\execute-083006_08:12_Wed: The directory name is invalid

I can copy this folder with CuteFTP but would prefer to use the sync features of BC.

    What makes this name invalid?

    Thanks

Probably the colon ( in "08:12". *nix filenames can contain that character, Windows/DOS filenames cannot.

Thanks. I had missed the fact that CuteFTP copies the folders but translates the : to a _. Neat idea. Is there anyway to make BC do the same?

Sorry, it isn't possible to have BC translate the characters that aren't valid on Windows.

Thanks for the info. That would be nice!

Over my 35 years in IT I have collected a handfull of solid gold applications. I have been using BC since 1998 and it is one of these applications.
