  • Exclude command causes file list to scroll back

    Hi,

In the Folder Viewer, every time after triggering the Exclude command, the file list will scroll back up to the top. This is rather annoying especially when you keep on doing something down through a long file list.

Hope the file list will keep the current position.

Thanks for the suggestion. This will be fixed in Beyond Compare 3.

      I'll second that vote!
Great suggestion...it's a small detail but a good one.

Re: Exclude command causes file list to scroll bac

The File Viewer has the similar problem:

        1. Click * button to show All the text.
        2. Scroll down and down.
        3. Click an "identical" line to be the current line.
        4. Now, click [Just Differences] button. The text will scroll back to the top. You have to scroll down and down again to get back where you were.
        5. This will happen again soon if you are not cautious.

          Thanks for pointing this out.

This will be fixed in version 3. In v3, it will jump to the nearest mismatched line instead of scrolling all the way to the top.

Hi again. Can I ask for more?

When going Back/Forward in the Folder Viewer, I hope BC will remember and return to the previously selected item.
And hope the Back/Forward memory will not be cleared when I select a different named session.

            (I'm still using v2.5.2.)
