• HTMLTidy issue with elements starting with an underscore

It seems the XML Tidy formats do not properly handle elements like "<_THIS>", they get turned into "<_THIS>".

I think I have tracked it down to this bug in HTMLTidy.exe bug:
https://sourceforge.net/tracker/inde...9&atid=390963#

But based on the traffic there it seems getting it fixed in HTMLTidy.exe is highly unlikely. Any other suggestions on how to fix this? I was started to get pretty excited about using BC for XML until I ran into this problem :/.

Thanks,
dave

The current download for XML Tidy uses a Tidy.exe, which could be replaced with a newer version if the bug is fixed.

If you are familiar with any other command line application that can sort or tidy your XML files, you can plug it into BC3. Here is an example with RESX files.

Improving our XML support is on our wishlist for a future version.

I unfortunately don't know one on Windows, but will keep my eye open.

That said, really I am waiting for the upcoming OSX version, and I have some candidates on OSX (using python). So once the beta is out I can can work on that. I know XSLT, so that side won't be a problem if needed.

Thanks,
