  • Saving custom File Filters

When I click the "eyeglasses" icon on the toolbar to open the Session Settings "Filter by name" tab, I would like a button that allows me to save my custom file/folder filter to a named filter I can select from the filter dropdown during future folder sessions. This seems like it would be the most logical/intuitive place to provide such functionality (saving a custom filter from the same place I create them).

In the mean time, if there is an another way to save a custom file filter, please remind me how to do it...

Thanks, Michael. That's a good suggestion.

Currently, to save your current file filters as a new "preset", select the text in the toolbar's "Filters" dropdown edit, copy to clipboard, then go to Tools | Options Folder Views. Paste your text in the Filter Presets memo.
