  • 459 Cancelled exit fails to preserve tab selection

If with one FC unsaved tab, I am on a second tab, clicking File | Exit, Cancel leaves me on the first tab.

    Chris,

This is intended behavior. My view is if there is an unsaved file and you click Cancel after trying to exit, then you should probably review or finish editing that file so you can close BC.

I that deserves review. Cancel means cancel. A cancelled operation should not change the app state.

Can you describe a case where you find it useful to remember the active tab? The only one I can think of is if the exit was an accident which should be rare. I think the most common scenario for cancelling the save is that the user wants to deal with the unsaved tab. In this case, reverting to the remembered tab would be very undesirable.

          Every case.

Not sure what you mean by "accident", but certainly is was requested but undesired.

          > which should be rare.

It is approx 100% of the cases in which Cancel is used, I suggest.

            Chris,

Thank you for the suggestion, but we do not intend to change this behavior.
