  • 464 Linux "Copy Filename" doesn't

on SUSE 9.3 x86_64 (btw, BC works nicely on 9.3)

Select name(s) on left or right, RMB, Copy Filename
Doesn't seem to have any effect on what I can paste.

Well, I checked the Copy Filenames command under openSUSE 11 with KDE4,
using both, build 464 and 8507.

    Here it works perfectly:
    Open a folder-compare.
Select and copy some file names.
    Open an empty text compare.
Set focus in the text pane.
    Use teh Paste command.
... all file names get pasted correctly.

What window manager are you using?

    Bye
    Christoph

I ssh into the linux box, I'm using xterms. Yesterday I had opened a new file in Slickedit as a paste target, and used middle mouse button to paste.

I can successfully follow your steps listed below, so Beyond Compare does do the copy.

Retrying in Slickedit, I find that Ctrl-V properly pastes the copied filenames, whereas MMB does not.

      I withdraw my complaint -
