  • How to control "Folder Sync" function as follows?

    Hello all,

    Given the following folder structure,

    C:\doc\hello.txt

    F:\doc\folder1\hello.txt

When we run "Folder Sync" on these two folder C:\doc and F:\doc,

Can we force the BC3 to check that the file "hello.txt" in fact exists on both folder so that it will not copy the file again?

    Thank you
    -daniel

Don't use a folder sync session. Try a folder compare session and set your folder structure dropdown on the toolbar to "Ignore Folder Structure".

Do we have the same sync function in "Folder compare session"?

After finishing comparing the folders, what is the next step we can do to synchronize the folder?

Basically, I have one folder (says A) and another folder (says B).
I must backup any updated/new files under A to B.

      Thank you

In the Folder Compare, select View > Ignore Folder Structure, then use one of the Actions > Synchronize commands to copy differences.

The Folder Sync session doesn't support ignoring folder structure.
