We changed this because users requested we match BC2's order. Also, it is now more consistent with other actions, like Copy to Other Side.

How so? Copy to Other Side is only one button, so it cannot have a left/right issue.

You can customize BC3 to show "Copy to Left" and "Copy to Right" on the toolbar. If you do so, "Copy to Right" will be left of "Copy to Left". The gutter buttons in the Text Compare also follow the same pattern.

Um... neither is "Copy to Other Side".

Given BC3 missed the chance to improve this over BC2, how about BC4 have the option:
