Alignment of files in "flattened" view

I really like the "Ignore folder structure" option in BC3.

One issue I have found, though, is that the files appear to be aligned based on oldest to newest in each folder structure rather than looking for files that have timestamps that match. I have included a sample folder comparison report below.

Is there a way to have BC look for files that match first so the the matching files are reported as such and the older files are reported as orphans?

What I am seeing now is the new file on the flattened side is reporting as an orphan and the older file is a mismatch with the newer file on the other side?

Roger,

It isn't possible to change this behavior in the current version of Beyond Compare. When you select flatten folders it will only align on filenames.

Aligning files based on criteria other than filename is on our wish list for a future release.
