  • No longer possible to have files compared by contents

Using 3.0.13 (build 9599), it seems to be no longer possible to have files compared by contents (i.e. rules-based) in the Folder View even though "Compare contents" is checked: only the quick tests are applied, and I must manually double-click on files to have them actually compared in a new tab and then detected as "same" in the Folder View.

I installed another clean portable install and it still happens. Precisely, I am comparing .war files, containing .jar files, containing .class files (decompiled by Jad). Comparing .properties files from the .war also is broken.

I think this is due to a recent change; I'll try rolling back to an older version for now.

I don't know how recent the break was, but the current release only does CRC comparisons of files within zips. The next release will have this fixed and should be out soon.
