monitoring folder updates are needed all the time.

This could be acheived by just a system bubble hint or a message box.

However, this extremely convenient way of monitoring could help users a lot

Beyond Compare cannot monitor folders at this time. You will have to perform a refresh, or use script to generate reports at automated intervals (using Windows Task Scheduler).
