  • Feature request - ISO images

Why not integrating (i.e. without external drivers) the processing of ISO images as already done with the ZIP, 7Z,... archives ?

You could mount the ISO image as a virtual drive with a free utility like MagicDisc then compare the content as if it were on an actual drive.

      Hi Michael,

Before your reply, I edited my post to said "integrating (i.e. without external drivers)" to be more precise because there are only a few drive letters free on my system, and I have a lot of ISO to compare. Note that I'm already using "Win XP Virtual CD Control Panel" (from Microsoft).

Don't get me wrong... It's a good idea, I'm pretty sure it is on the customer wish list already, and I would love to see it integrated as well... but there are a couple dozen other archive formats that could be added to the list. At least an ISO can be mounted and accessed like a drive if you need it to be. It's not so easy with other file types...

ISO support is currently on the wishlist. You both have the right idea when it comes to the workaround.
