When in folder compare I Excluded a folder for sync. Now I want to include in sync. I can't seem to find out how to do this.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello Dan,

Excluding a folder will add it to the File Name Filters dialog. Go to the BC3's Folder Compare's Session menu -> Session Settings. Go to the Name Filters tab. You should see your excluded content here.

Alternatively, in the main Folder Compare view, there is a Filters dropdown in the upper right corner. You can use the drop down to switch from your current Excluded list to *.* (all files), then back.

Does this clear things up for you? Let us know if you have any questions.

Thank Aaron, that was very helpful, one more question regarding excluding folders. If I select a folder to exclude does BC3 automatically remember to do this the next time I use BC3 or is it remembered for that session only?

Added: I think I just found the answer when looking at the "drop down" you mentioned. But if you don't mind please explain.

It is a session based setting, so it will only save for that session (saving that session is done with the Session menu). Reloading that session will then load your session setting, base folders, and other settings.

If you set it as a Session Default, then it will be applied to all future sessions. Alternatively, File Name Filters can also be set and configured in the Options dialog. The File Filters dropdown has a few pre-built filters, but this list is also configurable and can be added to in the Tools menu -> Options: Folder Views section: Name filter presets.
