  • Folders with different names

    I am trying to compare 2 directories that contain the same data. My problem is that the folder names are different. "OR010N100W0" and
    "OR330010N0010W". Can anyone help me figure out how to compare these. the contents of the folders are the same.

    In the GUI, you can always highlight/select any two folders, right-click then choose "Open in new view" from the context menu.

    Or... if you always want the two folders to align with each other on the left and right, go to Session -> Session Settings... -> Misc tab and enter an alignment override.

      Hello,

      You can set the two folders as Base folders and this will align all of their sub content (which then is named the same, correct?).

      As Michael mentions, BC3 Pro has a feature where you can enter in logical rules for aligning folders of different names. If you have BC3 Std, you can test out the feature by following these steps:
