  • Update or copy files from one server to multiple destinations (servers)

We use BeyondCompare to push files from one server to multiple servers. Is it possible to do this in one session by specifying multiple destinations? Right now, we have to create a session for each destination server. This is a huge problem when we have 50+ servers.

    Hello,

We have a Copy To command that can point to any third location and copy a selection of files. We also have script which can load and perform commands sequentially, so you can load a folder pair or session, perform a sync or copy, and then load another pair. Would either of these methods help you?

Unfortunately, we do not have a way to compare a single folder to multiple folders at once.

What problem are you running into with 50+ sessions? Managing them? Loading them? Running them sequentially or concurrently?

My thought would be "50 times the mouse clicks, and what if I miss one?"

Your script suggestion should take care of both issues, though.

One other method: If you put all 50 sessions in a folder, or 5 folders of 10 each, you can right click the folder and launch all of the sessions within that folder with one click.

            That's an interesting suggestion!
