Understood, but I think trying to display those two things in one control is not good.

I agree with Aaron that I prefer to preserve the actual path that I typed into the compare. One option for Team Scooter, however, would be to add a "copy full pathname" option to the right-click context menu of the MRU drop-down.

Thanks for the suggestion. This behavior is by design. We want to show where you have navigated to, but still preserve the text as it was typed in by the user.
Do you need to copy the path as it is shown? You can select an item in the base folder and use the Copy Filename command to capture that path to the clipboard. If that is not it, how are you using the file path?
