  • Compare Folders may incorrectly compare files in different Folders

On Ubuntu 20.04, using BC v4.4, comparing local folder to a folder on Synology, using AFP

Many folders have the same filename of index.php. However, BC is incorrectly comparing these files to different folders. Folders ./php_javascript/, ./testing/, ./autocomplete/.

Left side autocomplete => Right side php_javascript
Left side testing => nothing on Right
Left side php_javascript => Right side testing

    Hello,

You've enabled "Flatten" (Toolbar, or View menu -> Ignore Folder Structure). In this mode, folder structure is removed and all files are aligned by only file name with the purpose of aligning pairs in different folders.

To add the structure back into the comparison, use the toolbar button or the three other folder view modes in the View menu (Always Show Folders, Compare Files and Folder Structure, or Only Compare Files).
