LIST command successful but does not display in comparison window

Hello,

If you toggle on the Suppress Filters option in the View menu (or on the Toolbar), does this then show your files in a teal color? This would indicate there is still a filter, somewhere, set to hide them. If they still do not show up, would it be possible for you to enable debug logging in your Tweaks dialog (Ctrl+Shift+T), Folder Views, "Include debug messages in log", which you can post here, or to keep private, email us at [email protected] and include a link back to this forum thread in the email.

The filters were my first suspect and I check all of them before I posted.

I did enable debug logging when I posted the above log. That is how I knew the folder and file data was coming back correctly from the ftp server just not being displayed.
The lines after "2/11/2012 11:42:51 AM Recv> 226 Transfer complete"
are additional line that showed up after enabling debug logging.
You can see directories like "Program Files" and "Storage Card" and files like "cemail.vol" that the ftp server returned.

Thanks. I didn't recognize the debug log because of the lack of whitespace. It turns out that could be part of the problem. I'll open a tracker entry for one of our developers to investigate.

I have the same problem with ftp://ftp.heanet.ie

I have the same problem with "ftp://ftp.heanet.ie". I see the listing in the lower window, but not in the window on the right, where I have the ftp site (the window on the left is a local folder).

Accessing that FTP with an anonymous login, I do see the files and folders, and I am able to expand subfolders and see what appears to be the whole listing. Are you not seeing the items appear, Rodolfo? Are you using the latest release (BC 3.3.3)? If you revert your default profile to Factory Defaults in the FTP Profiles dialog, does this help? Does enabling Suppress Filters help?

You found the issue, at least in my case. I do not know how, but I had some filters and I was not aware of them. Probably I had reused another session.

How can I reset to factory defaults?

Hello,

From the Home screen, expand the Edit session defaults folder, select Folder Compare, and here you can click "Factory Defaults" to reset to defaults. Then create a new session and open your FTP.

same issue with getting listing but not displaying

Hi - I'm getting the exact same issue attempting to connect to my XBOX - with the debug included in the log, you can see the correct directory listing but it does not appear in the right panel - just blank. I have 100% verified that the filters are not the issue and have tried PASV as well as resetting to factory default as suggested above. Here is my log:

Whatever REST does, it doesn't seem to be accepted by the XBOX - is there something I can do to suppress this or pass some custom commands as work-around ?

Thanks for the log. It is a similar issue in that it failing because of a parsing issue, but it is a different parsing bug in the FTP server. I'll add it to our use case, but since it appears to be a proprietary FTP solution for specific hardware (which we do not have), this one may be trickier to track down to fix.

k, well let me know if I can provide any more detail like more raw logs etc. Going from the log, it seems that no parser is being selected -is there any switch / command that I could use to force a particular parser to be used?
BTW, I love this software - I rarely use a regular file explorer at all ever since buying it years ago.
