  • FEATURE REQ: linux vs windows text CR/LF line endings

when I compare over FTP from windows folder to a linux folder... text files that i COPY over always become RED/different... must be because of the carriage return, etc. windows uses CR-LF while linux uses only CR,... or something like that.

Would be handy to have an option to ignore this?

    Hello,

In the FTP Profile dialog, in the specific profile's settings, Transfer tab, you can switch from Auto to Binary to transfer files and not convert the line ending.

You can also run a Rules-based content scan, which does ignore a difference in line ending characters. The default scan is size/timestamp (which, would have a different size).
