Can't edit in window, can in lines at bottom

Turn on Edit > Full Edit (F2) to allow editing in the main window.

During a file compare, I can edit the 2 lines at the bottom, but I can't get the cursor into either window above to do editing in the window itself.

(I can on my other computer, but not on this computer.)

Is there some setting?
