BC3 has definitely changed the way I work (for the better).
The async transfer threads have really helped, and I've discovered I can transfer multiple large files quickly across a network if I run them as separate threads, which overlaps the network lag time.
So now I have a large number of files moving, and I frequently have to ask myself:
- Have I already requested this file to be copied (is it running somewhere)?
- That file is taking a long time ... which directory is it copying from?
Many of the files I transfer have the same name (e.g., "setup.exe" in multiple language directories).
What I would like to see is "Mouse Hover" on a transfer bar that would display more detail on the From/To directories.
Aside: While transfers are progressing, why do I get "transfer cancel" warnings if I try to adjust the base folder?
I would have thought that the transfer threads had enough information to continue, irrespective of the left/right base folder positions.
