  • Shortcuts to sessions?

Is there any way to create a shortcut on the desktop/startmenu that directly opens an already saved session?

I use folder compares on a specific set of directories to merge between a test-stage-prod environ and skipping the home menu would save that extra click.

Along those same lines, is there an option that places opened sessions as a tab in the existing window instead of always opening a new one?

    Thanks in advance!

You can pass the name of a session on the command line and BC will start with it open.

Thank you for the quick reply.

I work on different projects and have named multiple sessions with the project name, but under a sub folder for the current phase as such:

      + stage to prod
      appname1
      appname2
      ...
      + test to prod
      appname1
      appname2
      ...
      + test to stage
      appname1
      appname2
      ...

Passing in the appname only grabs the first in the list which is from stage to prod in the example.

Is there a way to specify which group to pull from?

      Thanks

You can fully specify the session by including the folder names before it, separated by backslashes, like:

        bcompare.exe "stage to prod\appname1"
        bcompare.exe "test to stage\appname2"
