Install folder portable

I like to create a portable version on my harddisk. It seems easier to backup and recover.

BC always chooses to install in my_chosen_path/Beyond Compare3/Beyond Compare3

So it doubles that last folder. It's OK it adds the "Beyond Compare3" once, but not twice.
Can it do without that?

Are you installing the current version of Beyond Compare, version 3.0.13?

The current version shouldn't create extra subfolders when you do a portable install. It will fill in a default location of "C:\Users\<username>\Desktop\Beyond Compare 3", but if you change the path, it will place the install files directly into the folder you specify, it shouldn't create a "Beyond Compare 3" subfolder.

It did a test and it seems that if the dir allready exists, it doubles up.
So when I choose T:\ that's OK. When I choose "G:\standalone" and "G:\standalone\Beyond Compare 3" allready exists it doubles to "G:\standalone\Beyond Compare 3\Beyond Compare 3"

All I wanted was overwrite the previous existing version.

I was able to reproduce the reported problem.

I created a "G:\Programs\Beyond Compare 3" folder on a USB drive.

If I type or paste in "G:\Programs" without using the Browse for folder button, the installer puts the installation in "G:\Programs" and does not use the "Beyond Compare 3" folder.

If I type or paste in "G:\Programs\Beyond Compare 3" without using the Browse for folder button, the installer puts the installation in "G:\Programs\Beyond Compare 3" without adding a second Beyond Compare 3 folder.

If I click the Browse button and type or paste in "G:\Programs" in the "Browse For Folder" dialog (without actually browsing to the folder) the install dialog adds a \Beyond Compare 3 to the path making it: "G:\Programs\Beyond Compare 3".
