View as Web Page

In Version 2.x, if you were comparing two pages, you could click the "View as Web Page" button in both of the pages to get side-by-side web views that replaced the text pages. In Version 3.x, the button has moved to a menu choice and opens separate windows.

Is there any way to get back the functionality of viewing as web pages in 3.x or is this just the way it works now?

Sorry, it isn't possible to make it behave like version 2. The only web view available is the "Open with Web Browser" command that opens it in a separate window.
