Windows 7 x64 Support?

We current use a few 32bit only tools for Linux, but switching these for 64bit alternates is something we are looking into.

Isn't Beyond Compare compiled with a modified Kylix? I read that somewhere, can't recall where though. But if so, you will never be able to serve a 64 bit build, as Kylix is dead for years, or?

Noel,
Beyond Compare 3 includes both a 32-bit and 64-bit shell extension. The shell extension in version 3 is fully supported on 64-bit Windows 7.
If you have version 2, version 2.5.3 also includes 32-bit and 64-bit shell extensions that will work on 64-bit Windows 7.
Beyond Compare is written in Delphi, which is currently limited to 32-bit applications. Once Delphi adds 64-bit support, we'll look into the possibility of a 64-bit version.

Windows 7 x64 Support?
Hello,
I'm currently upgrading from Vista x64 to Windows 7 x64.
Beyond Compare version 2 nicely integrates with Explorer in Vista x64 as a shell extension, as long as you run the 32 bit version of Explorer.
However, Windows 7 Explorer is 64 bit no matter how you start it. Microsoft removed the ability to run the 32 bit version at the time of release.
So, my question is this:
Does Beyond Compare 3 provide a right-click shell extension that works in Windows 7 x64? The shell extension will have to be a 64 bit build to do that.
What are your plans to move fully up to 64 bits? OS compatibility with 32 bit software is clearly waning.
Thanks.
