  • Row count differences duringa data compare

Do you know of a way to filter and view just the rows that do not match, example one file has 6101 rows the other has 6105 rows. It does not recognize the 4 rows as a difference but I would like to see just those 4 rows to research. How can I filter to see just the ones that do not have a match? When the compare is done one side will show an account number and the other a white cell with lines where the rows do not match both files were sorted the same for the compare.

    Hello Julie,

Rows that only appear on one side and not the other are considered Orphan rows. They should be detected as a Difference, so enabling Show Differences should cause them to appear.

You can show Only Orphans by right clicking on the display filters area of the toolbar, and switching from Favorites to Toggles. Then toggle on the appropriate sided Orphan display filter, and disable the other toggles.

If you are still having trouble, please post a screenshot. If you would like to keep the screenshot private, please email it to us at [email protected] and include a link back to this forum post in the email. Thanks.
