  • Feature request: Zoom into the middle

When comparing two images, when you zoom inwards BeyondCompare zooms relative to (0, 0). I propose that you let the user zoom the region to zoom into.

If you're trying to investigate some image at (0,0) then obviously zooming over that point makes sense, but if you're zooming over some image in the middle of the screen (as I am doing) it becomes very difficult to find you place every time you zoom in.

Ideally I should be able to drag-n-drop the region I want to zoom into (or perhaps you have a better idea).

    Thanks,
    Gili

This topic has been brought up before and I am certain that it is already on the customer wish list. A simple mode in which a mouse click initiates a zoom and the zoom is centered on the position of the mouse would be a welcome addition to your proposed drag-and-zoom method.

In the 3.2 beta, we made the following change to the Picture Compare:

      - Zoom using mouse wheel now scrolls to keep same area of picture under
      cursor.

        Thanks, Erik

I just tested this and, yes, it works quite nicely. Well done.
