Feature request: option for file encoding column in panes

Sometimes I get problems when files I am comparing differ only by their file encoding eg ANSI vs utf-8. When a two files are compared, the encoding is shown in the bar at the top, but when comparing folders this data would have to appear in a column alongside Name, Size, Modified, etc. Some mechanism of showing differences in file encoding (maybe just that cell going red) would also be useful.

Thanks for the links.

I do mostly web work and having ANSI files around is getting to be bad news. Once I've identified and change the encoding of ANSI files to utf-8, the problems go away.
