excel and word file editing

Does the paid Std or Pro edition supports editing of ms excel and word and other files right from the cmp window? Currently I am using free one and say the editing is disabled. thx.

Sorry, no version of Beyond Compare 3 supports editing MS Excel or MS Word files.

If you save your files as CSV (Excel) or TXT (Word), Beyond Compare 3 does support editing those file types. However, you'll only see plain text in those formats, losing formatting, images, and formulas.
