No, BC3 does not support this. But you could load the text file in the Text Compare and view it that way. You can then compare it against another version of the file to find differences.

You can also use the Folder Compare -> Edit menu -> Expand All, Select All files, and then right click the selection to "Copy Filename". This is actually a list of the full paths. You could compare these as well or compare between them.

Can BC3 import a textfile which was created by the dir command?

"dir c:\myfolder /s > myfolder.txt"

so that I can browse myfolder.txt as if this would be a local folder?
