Feature request: Detection of XML files

At the moment, the XML file format is recognized by a file mask, like any file format in BC.

Because XML is a meta-format, XML-files may have different file extensions than "*.xml;*.xsd;*.xsl;*.xslt".

So, I would suggest to offer a feature to detect XML files by the prefix "<?xml", or maybe for all files in general by their magic number.
