  • How to use compare using for two zip files?

I would like to be able to select two zip files, right click and then select, from the context menu, "Beyond Compare"+"Compare using"+"Hex compare", to check if the two zip files are the same. For example, they might have the same content but different compressions. Is it possible to do this, even if I have to change the registry? Of course, I would like to be able to compare them as folders, so I would like to add a new feature, not to change it. You might want to add a right click context menu entry that says something such as "Folder Compare".

Thank You very much and regards

    Hello Rodolfo,

BC3 does not currently support handling zip files as either folders or files for the shell extension. If you are in a Folder Compare to the parent folder, and you select your two zips as subitems, you can then use Open With -> and select either the Hex Compare or the Folder Compare. Adding the additional functionality to our context menu is on our Customer Wishlist.
