I should add, if you really would like me to fully delete either thread, I can do so. I'm posting in both with BC3 and BC4 specific solutions since that may be valuable for yourself and other users who have either/or version. You have a good example case and question.

Hello,
We can keep the question in place for BC4 users, but also address the alignment here for BC3. As noted: Patience diff is a new BC4 feature and not available in BC3. BC3 does not have a good automatic scan for these files, but a manual override is available by using the Align With command on multiple selected lines. To do this, click and drag to select the Left block of text, right click and Align With, then click drag the 'align with' cursor on the Right text block to align the blocks together. This command can also be issued on a single line (which re-runs alignment around the area, but won't necessarily detect and force the other lines up, while a paragraph selection would).

Please shift this question of mine to From 'Beyond compare 4 Discussion' to 'Beyond compare 3 Discussion' or delete it , the solution to the question is to use Patience Diff alignment to align the files in beyond compare 4.Tags: None
