  • AIX node

Hello, I was asked today if Beyond Compare will run on an AIX node. This apparently is a type of IBM Unix.

Has anyone used Beyond Compare on an AIX node?

    Thanks!

    Hello,

I do not believe we have tested on an AIX system. The list of our supported Linux distributions is here:
Beyond Compare is a multi-platform utility that combines directory compare and file compare functions in one package. Use it to manage source code, keep directories in sync, compare program output, etc.

Our trial is fully featured and available to test on your system before purchase:

Are you aware of if AIX is available to download or trial? I do not see it mentioned on IBM's webpage:

Beyond Compare is not supported on AIX. Beyond Compare is only available on Windows and Linux.

As a workaround, you can run Beyond Compare on a Windows or Linux computer and access files on your AIX system over a network using FTP, FTPS, SFTP, or a Samba/CIFS network share.
