Live syncing?

Hello,

New here, really like the product for photo backup.
Is there a way to set up live syncing such that changes to a file prompt changes in the backed up copy of the file in another folder?

Hello,

BC3 does not perform automatic monitoring of a folder for changes to all the files present in the folder. We do have an automatic refresh option in the interface, which would refresh the interface at a set time interval (every 3 minutes, for example), allow you to review changes and manually perform the sync step. Automatic Refresh is in the Folder Compare's Session menu -> Session Settings dialog, Handling tab.

Alternatively, BC Scripting can also be performed at automated intervals (using Windows Task Scheduler), and can perform the sync step automatically without reviewing or user feedback.
Scripting documentation can be found in the Help file, in the Using Beyond Compare -> Automating with Script chapter. I would strongly suggest performing any script on a set of test folders, as any script actions taken are not undo-able if files are overwritten or deleted.
