(Folder Compare) Replace In Files

Hi,
I was wondering if there happens to be a "replace in files" functionality. i.e. I've filtered the files based on rules that I have setup and want to run a replacement for just those files from the folder compare view. Is there any currently function that can do this?

If not can this be placed in the wishlist for a future release - including a regex replace? Thanks!

Beyond Compare 3 doesn't currently have a command that will search and replace across multiple files. Search and replace across multiple files is on our wish list for a future version of BC.

You can search across multiple files in the current version of BC using the "Search > Find in Files" command in the Text Edit (Tools > Edit Text File).

No, BC4 does not have a Folder level Find/Replace for text within the file. BC3/4 do have Text Content filters which can limit the Folder Compare view to only files that contain (or don't contain) a specific text string; this is setup in the Session Settings, Other Filters tab. But the actual Find/Replace is file by file.
