If you use the View menu -> Legend, we describe a bit there and in the Help file. Both red is less common unless you disable timestamp comparison, but it can crop up. You can take two different files, then use the Touch command to make their timestamps equal if you wanted to create the scenario.

    Hello,

I see you are in "Toggles" mode. In Toggles mode, we have a different toggle for a variety of stats: Different, Newer, Older, and Orphan are all "different" files.

Different (two red squares) are files that are literally different in content/size, but have equal timestamps (or timestamp is disabled).

You are likely looking for Newer and Older toggles. This is a button with a Red square on the left and gray square on the right, and a button with a gray square on the left and a red square on the right. Enable both of these, along with Different (two red squares). Together, these three buttons will show different files.

You can also enable the Orphan (blue square) toggle buttons as well, if you wish to view these files.

If you use the View menu, you can quickly select a specific set of toggles, or you can switch to the default Dropdown mode for a set of buttons.

If you could post a full screen screenshot, that would help. Are the files detected as different when they shouldn't be? Or are they detected as equal but not hiding when you switch to Show Differences? Does this behavior reproduce in the latest version (3.3.5)?
I'am so sorry, I use version is 3.35, it is a typo.

It problem is : ` toggle differnce' is a Toggle, When I invoke it, It ought to hide 'Difference files' , and invoke it again, it ought to redisplay the 'Differnce files' , the fact is, What ever I do, it always show left differnce and right differnce ( a newer with a older always be showed).
