  • How to repair B.C.3?

I have used my laptop as a test machine so much that now B.C.3 does not even start when I right click two folders and then I choose compare from the context menu. I can right click and compare two text files, or two bitmaps. I did not try other types of comparison. If I run B.C.3, choose folder compare, and then choose the same two folders, it works. Is it possible to "repair" B.C.3 setup so that the right click works again?

Thank You very much again and regards

    Hello,

If you use the Tools menu -> Options dialog, and in Startup disable the Context menu. Then reboot your computer. Then re-enable the Shell Extension. Does it work for files and folder then? if not, reboot once more. Does it work then?

If still not, please email us at [email protected] with a link to this forum thread. We'll try a couple of helper files to see if we can get it working.

I followed what You said, but still it does not work.
I select two folders. I right click on one of them. In the context menu I see the "Compare" entry. I choose it and nothing happens, B.C.3 is not even in the running processes.
If I select only one folder, when I right click I see "Select Left Folder for Compare". Then, I right click the other folder, but I see again "Select Left Folder for Compare". So, it seems that the first folder selection is not good.

      Thank You again and regards
