    Hello,

By default, the first column is the Key column which is sorted and aligned by. If the Key does not match, the rows would not align and they would be marked as a difference.

A key can be a single column or multiple columns, set in the Session Settings or by right clicking any Header in the main view.

Would you be able to post or email a full screen screenshot? If you email us at [email protected] please include a link to this forum thread. With this we should be able to tell which columns are Keys and why they are not aligning.

I'm evaluating your Beyond Compare 3 product and when I compare 2 Excel spreadsheets where I simply add or remove a single row the Beyond Compare product is showing many more differences than just that single row add or delete. I really want to just so the row added or deleted as the difference. Is there any option I can configure to get the results I'm looking for?

I'm using Excel 2003 files (xls) if it matters.

    Thanks
Working...
