windows 8 context menu for compare gone

I recently switched to a mac and BC is one of 3 applications I need parallels for. There is nothing comparable to it in the mac os x world.

Got the same problem on Win8 Pro

Diagnosis:

When installed using "Only for this user" option - no shell integration at all
When installed using "For all users" option - everything is fine.

The first thing to try is to back up your current settings (Tools menu -> Export dialog).

Then uninstall Beyond Compare 3, reboot, then reinstall BC3. If the context menu is not here, try rebooting once more.

Reboots are necessary since any changes to the shell extension require a Windows reboot to detect.

My explorer shell context menu is no longer showing the options for beyond compare when I upgraded to Windows 8. I have tried re-installing the software. What steps can I take next?
