  • How to ignore specific extensions?

When copying files a specific extensions should be ignored. This is applicable for all presets. Comparing, copying, mirror, whatever.

That extension is 'protected', under 'control' by another application, it is like a .sys file.
Beyond Compare shows an error when it tries to copy those files.

It would be nice if that extension could be added to some sort of setting, so it will be skipped in future, same as .sys files.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

You can update the Folder Compare's Session defaults on the Home screen, in the saved Sessions list, expand the New folder, select Folder Compare, and Edit defaults.

You can then add *.sys (or others) to the Name Filters tab, Exclude files list.

Save the new defaults, and any new folder compare will start with these settings. Any previously auto-saved or saved folder compare sessions would retain the settings they were saved with.

Am very sorry for the delay. Was out and after return faced a backlog.

Anyway, many thanks for the solution!
