We support directions for both newer and older versions of the VCS solutions as we and our customers encounter them. In that section, it is split into two parts: defining Diff and Merge for Git 1.7.6 and newer, and defining Diff and Merge for older versions.

Since VCS solutions change frequently, we try to offer as much reference material as possible to help users correctly define BC3 as a diff or merge tool. If each VCS product offered better documentation on how to define a diff and merge tool, our Knowledge Base entry would be less extensive.
