Multiple report generation

Hi Guys!

I would like to ask you about is it possible ways to generate comparing report from different tabs by one click? I mean, that for example I have about 20 tabs in BC, and all of them must be compared and report generated. So, do I need to generate report on all 20 tabs one-by-one or BC has some magic button which allow me to generate report automatically.

Another one question is about comparing folder and files. I want to compare folders and files in this folder. Can I create a report where I can find differences not only in folder but in files as well. Because at this moment I can create this task separately: first, I need compare folders; second, I need compare files. And as result have minimum two reports.

Hello,

For your first question, we do not have this ability in BC3. To Generate a report on multiple items at once across multiple tabs. All of the items must be in the current tab, such as selecting multiple files in a Folder Compare session then using the Actions menu -> File Compare Report to generate a single report containing those multiple files and their differences.

For your second request, are you looking for a combined Folder Report and Text Report? We have the Folder Report layouts in the Folder Compare's Session menu -> Folder Compare Report, and the Actions menu -> File Compare Report can work on a selection of multiple files. Would the later method be the kind of report you are looking to generate?

About second questions, you suggestion is not what I want to. I want to create compare report with files and folder by one window.

Hello,

BC3 does not have a combined report of folder structure and file differences. We currently only support the layouts in the Folder Compare Report dialog, and in the Actions menu -> File Compare Report.
