Sorry Aaron I didn't keep the file. But I'll keep the next one.

    I did not see BC's [0D] and/or [0A], so I would say No.

    Good to hear

If you copy and paste the cell data into the text compare session and show whitespace or view hex, is there a line break character in the cell?

If you view the file in another editor and then view the cell text data, would this confirm the line break character as part of the original data?

BC3 itself shouldn't insert a line break unless it was part of the file.

Thanks - it is. So workaround: CTRL+Home.

But why is BC using a multiline editor? The value single line - is between delimiting tab characters and has no line end code AFAICS.

And why is BC inserting a line break?

16340 Data Compare: Edit mode faulty Home/End

    1) Select a field in Row Details e.g.

    2 Press F2, Home

Expected: caret at start of field content
Observed: caret and no field content

    3 Press Delete, ENTER

Expected: first char deleted from field content
Observed: no change to field content

    Likewise F2, End, Backspace, ENTER
