In the Tools menu -> File Formats dialog, you will find both the custom EXIF format you installed and the default Picture format. The format icons show which session type is used (Text, Table, Picture, etc). Both as associated with *.png and other picture format file extensions. The topmost format that matches the extension is the one used automatically. So you can move the EXIF format down using the yellow arrow buttons until it is below the default Picture format.
If there is red text, this signifies that there is at least one match above that will prevent that format from 'being hit'.

Double-clicking on a pair of jpg files opens the EXIF header comparison currently. Is there a way to make it open the "Picture Compare" instead? Thanks.
