Hi,
I don't know if this is a bug or whether I'm just causing an overload in the application or maybe something else.
I have a file that I want to compare that has 422 columns. When I enter all the column widths in the File Formats -> Type tab, 422 columns are created (although not all with the widths I specified), but when I delete a column in the same way and reopen and press F5 to be sure, there are still 422 columns. When I create some extra columns and reopen and press F5, there are still 422 columns and the widths are still not compliant with the widths I specified (I checked with column nr 7 which is supposed to have 12 positions, but in fact the column is only 10 positions wide).
I'm using BC3 build 9222. [edit: I updated to build 9357 and the problem still occurs]
Is there a max number of columns?
Unrelated, but while we're at it: is there also a max number of records that BC can process? (just out of curiosity, because our application crashed a couple of times while processing over 1 million records, but we're not sure whether it's our hardware or the software. maybe we'll make a separate thread for this matter when we know more).
Thanks in advance.
Kind regards,
Regressie
